About Room 5064

Room 5064 is a Manchester-based creative collective dedicated to producing events, productions, and publications.

Formed in 2014, Room 5064 has a rich heritage of producing boundary-pushing theatre in partnership with industry professionals and bodies such as ITV, the BFI, Bill Humble, Philip Hinchcliffe, Niall Leonard, Dick Clement and Russell T. Davies.

Committed to finding the talent of tomorrow, recent showcases have included Sitcom Stories featuring new writers and actors performing scripts based on classic sitcoms, and breakthrough piece We Apologise for the Inconvenience which examines Douglas Adams’ writers block.

Gareth Kavanagh, Founder and Executive Producer

Gareth is a leisure consultant, arcade machine guru and founder of Room 5064. Forming Room 5064 from Lass Productions, The Lass O’Gowrie’s in house theatre production team, Room 5064 has continued in that tradition with a mixture of blockbuster adaptations, new writing and continued expanding of the team of writers, producers and actors.
