Room 5064 has hosted events in conjunction with several project partners including sci-fi magazine Starburst, ITV, Manchester’s HOME Theatre and the British Film Institute.
Our most frequent events are our “Afternoon With..” series of events with the cast and crew of Doctor Who. In an intimate setting, these events are acclaimed and often sell out in advance.
Key events have included:
- Programming for the Inaugural Starburst International Film Festival including guest liaison and of screening of new Inside No. 9 and Red Dwarf episodes;
- Corriefest, the UK’s only one-day Coronation Street convention;
- Who at 50 – an ambitious multi-venue, multimedia festival to celebrate Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary;
- Granada at 60 – a series of celebratory screenings covering Coronation Street, Children’s TV and World in Action at HOME Manchester, with the BFI, Kaleidoscope and ITV.
